About this mural

Welcome to the CCRY Network!

The Network's mission is to empower communities to create effective, innovative partnerships among local youth-serving systems to improve young people's opportunities and well-being. Through collaboration and peer-to-peer networking, the CCRY Network member communities share ideas, challenges, lessons and best practices for reconnecting youth.

The Mural: Youth in Action. The mural that decorates the CCRY site was created by twenty-six YO Houston artists, ranging in age from 14 to 22, with guidance from Museum of Cultural Arts of Houston (MOCAH) artists Reginald and Rhonda Adams and Prince Maduekwe. It was the final project of a 300-hour mural training curriculum designed by MOCAH and WorkSource Youth Opportunity Centers, and was dedicated in November 2005.
